surround speaker choice

I currently have a set of Polk RTi6 for my mains, a CSi3 center channel & a PSW404 sub. My surround speakers are currently a pair of Home Theater Direct
Middy's hooked up to an Onkyo TX-SR805 receiver.

I am considering an upgrade of my surrounds so that my entire speaker system
are Polk. I have been looking at the FXiA4 and the in-wall RC55i or RC65i.

My space is limited (I would have to hang the FXiA4's on the wall) and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions as to other Polk's that could be used to complement what I have.

Thanks
Frank

FXi3, FXi5, FXiA4, FXiA6 will all work well for you. The FXi3 and FXi5 will match the aesthetics of your current speakers perfectly. FXi5's are just about impossible to come by but FXi3's pop up on ebay quite often. You will almost always see white pairs availible but a pair of black speakers will pop up every few weeks. I bought two pairs of FXi3's online.... one pair i got for $200 and the other for $75, all in great condition.

The FXiA4 is just a minor cosmetic upgrade to the FXi3 and can be easily found. Ditto for the FXiA6 compared to the FXi5.

    Good luck!

I will have to check out ebay for the FXi3's. White might actually work as they would be hanging on the wall and would blend in with the wall color better than black.

The wife likes the in-wall speakers of course, because of aesthetics, but I would prefer
the FXi series for the sound quality.

I just recently added a pair of FXi A4's to my setup. They sound great. I went with white for the same reason. The demand is higher for black, so you can probably pick up a pair pretty cheap from Polk's Ebay store. That's where I purchased mine from and you can't tell that they are refurbished.
    It's all in the detail.

Well the in wall speakers will not work in the spots we wanted them in and the wife is not crazy about the looks of the FXi A3 or A4, but she does like the yet to be released
OWM5. When I contacted Polk I was told they should be available in early April, so unless I can persuade my wife on the FXi I will wait and see what people think of the
    OWM5.

I have waited over a year to replace my rear surrounds so a little longer won't matter.

If any one is interested the physical dimensions of the OWM5 as provided to me are

    Without base:
    16" tall x 4 1/8" deep x 6 1/2" wide

With base installed, 5 degree tilt:
    16 1/8" tall x 6 5/8" deep x 6 1/2" wide

Well I ended up picking up a pair of OWM3's from Newegg for $129.99 and should have them for the weekend.

I am going to pick up a pair of OWM5's a little later after they are released.
