Right now I have a Sony XA3ES cd..at the time was one of the best out there, and really dose nothing wrong. I was looking at the Jolida JD-100A with an upgrade to Svetlana tubes and a better power cord. Kind of a no brainer..the ES just can't compete with it.

Preamp...now this is a wide open area...and can cost ALOT!
Right now i have an ADCOM gtp-400. Not the best, but not the worst either.

I was looking at a Vincent Audio SA-31 Hybrid. Can't find alot of reviews on this, the ones I have found, basically say for the price you can't beat it. Basically they have nothing bad to say about it, but then again, most mags don't say anything bad..on anything!

Problem with is preamp is it has no Phono stage, so you need an outboard unit, such as a Creek, or something of that kind. It also has no headphone connection. I could use the phones outlet from the Jolida...but i tend to crank the bass on headphones.

I was looking to go with at least a Hybrid tube thing...but, not sure. A better SS preamp with a phono stage and headphone plug may be a better way to go?

Anybody have any input on this? or recomendations?
