PSW125 or DSWpro600 for Tsi series?

I'll be picking up 2 pairs of Tsi300's one pair of 100's and the CS20 in a couple weeks, and I was wondering which subwoofer would be better to match the system. The site recommends the PSW125 but I can get the DSWPro600 for a similar price, and was wondering if there would be any downside to upgrading to the more powerful sub.... probably a stupid question but i figured i'd ask anyways

thanks

I run a PSW125 with my Monitor setup (TSi's have temporarily replaced the Monitor series) and it works very well with my setup. Depending on room size and general layout of your room you may want a bigger/better sub. Subs are not Polks strong suit, but that is one thing I wish I had been a bit more generous with my money on, was a better sub. If you have the ability to see what they sound like before you buy them then try that, if not it may not be a bad idea to go with the "better" of the two subs if they are about the same price.

    Enjoy your free sub!

To cc above. That Polk 600 is what I would go with if you want to stay with current mid-priced Polk. The TSI-300s love subs, you won't believe just how that sub will open that lower end for those!

Polk put a lot of R&D into the new lines above the PSWs in order to compete more successfully with folks like Velodyne, etc.

Well i'm getting everything through my work, but the only polk subs we carry are the PSW111 and the PSW10. I listen to the Tsi400's all day but the 300's sound similar enough and i'm getting a much better deal on the 300's, but we have them all hooked up to a 12" Klipsch sub which really rocks... I've just never heard them with a good Polk sub.

For another $130 i could upgrade to the DSWmicropro1000 or for another 200ish I could get the DSWmicropro2000.... would that be better? I've never heard any of these subs unfortunately and i'm in an apartment complex where I really shouldn't go too crazy with the sub, but the deal i'm getting is a one-time buy so i'm trying to get the best bang for the buck.

Well i'm definitely more interested in the DSWpro600 than the micro's but I was just seeing if maybe it would be worth looking into... I'm good friends with most of the people who live around me so the occasional loud movie shouldn't really bother them too much, and as far as music goes I listen to mostly classic rock so i don't really need a lot of bass.

I have to order everything in the next couple weeks so I have to decide exactly what i'm going to get... it's looking like:

    Center: CS20
    Fronts: Tsi300
    Surrounds: Tsi300
Rears: Tsi100 / OWM3 (for an extra $65 is it worth it for the OWM3 other than the appearance? I can't tell a huge difference between the two, even when I a/b them at work)
    Sub: DSWPro600
    Receiver: Denon AVR688 .... until I can afford a 706

I've thought about that a lot... but the reason I can actually afford a new system right now (I have a $400 sony HTIB right now) is because we had a sales contest at work where you earn points to get a discount on Polk speakers, and I can get the Tsi300's for about $70 a pair as opposed to the 500's which would run me about $350. For a poor college student $280 a pair is quite a step up ;)

In that case the 300's will do fine. And the DSWpro 600 is a nice 12" sub with good power and bass extension.

I do agree with Xcapri...I have a set of TSI300s and M70s upfront...and the 70s can slam with enough clean power. If I were to upgrade my fronts, I'd go up to the Rti-a9s for the most significant improvements because I'm pretty happy with the 70s and I've heard the Rti-10s (older Rti-a7s), they're a bit better than the 70s, sure, but I actually like the 70s tweeter better with my equipment? It's a little mellower with my Denon AVR2807.
