Speaking of football...what's that? We weren't? Oh, well, T.O. in Buffalo!

What do you think about that?

One year deal, good idea IMO.

I'd almost be willing to put up with his shenanigans that always seem to show up 3 or more years out if he put up numbers that his ego warrants but just because he played with Jerry Rice doesn't make him Jerry Rice.

Maybe he'll do good for Buffalo and be the last piece of that puzzle that gets them to at least the division. If anything, his talent tends to draw double coverage which lets younger, up-and-coming stars like Buffalo's other wide-out Edwards, shine. I think Jauron has the kind of personality to handle T.O. He's quiet and calm but firm and commanding. He should be able to tell T.O. to sit down, shut up and kiss off while having T.O. think he's stroking his ego. That and Ralph Wilson has never been one to kowtow to his players preferring to be the boss instead of a puppet.

That's probably why guys like Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, Steve Tasker and Thurman Thomas all worked out so well for so long. About the least egotistical bunch to play football you could find and it took them to 4 conference championships in 4 consecutive years. Even if they couldn't seem to surmount the opposition from three of the biggest NFC East dynasties in recent history in the Redskins, Giants and Cowboys.

This should be an interesting deal.

who's the qb in Buffalo? If T.O. can bully the qb around it might work, if not he'll cry like a little baby. Thats why he was a big Romo fan, he knew Romo was afraid of him. When Bledsoe was the qb in Dallas he didnt take any crap from T.O. just like McNabb or "whats his name" in San Fran. Just my opinion though.

have to humbly disagree with you Jon (though i know you only said "maybe"), I firmly believe TO is, and always will be, more trouble than his talent warrants. Football is always a team sport, sure there are plenty of egos....but if someone is so much poison to a team unit, he takes away from that team alot more with drama and bullsh*t than his talents produce on his best day.

that is sad because we're talking about a hell of an amount of talent. Any team with TO on it will never win a conference, much less the Superbowl

It will be good for a year, as long as TO uses the non-ego side of his brain, and stops whining about not getting the ball thrown to him. Sad thing, he'll end up in the hall of fame, while guys like Rod Smith who was the consummate team player, outstanding blocker, and leader will most likely just miss out.

Of course, I throw up every time people say Moss is the greatest ever or anything close. He takes more plays off then on, and avoids any type of blocking.

No, you misunderstood me. I don't think his level of play warrants his shenanigans. I think he has way more talent than he plays to and that is apparent 'cause sometimes he just comes up with a play and it's baffling how he pulled it off. But, he doesn't put up the numbers to warrant anyone putting up with him.

So, I agree with you. The only bonus is that some of T.O.'s biggest number years were his first year with the Eagles, his first year with the 'boys and his first year after Jerry Rice retired at S.F. with Jeff Garcia. So a one year deal where he has to behave and play to impress, he could be the deciding factor for the Bills who have been on the cusp of a playoff berth for several years now.

But like you said, he does "wonders" for morale. This might bite them in the keister.

All I can say is that Buffalo didn't get T.O. for his talent and he does have talent! They were team that no talk about until last week. It's a guarantee that people want to follow the team to see when/where/how T.O will explode once again.

IMO , the way his contract is structured will determine his effectiveness.

If the Bills wrote a contract with performance incentives, he will do good.

TO did do very good things while in Dallas, but his big attitude problem always seemed to over-shadow the positive.

Hope the Bills get some use out of him before he starts complaining.

One thing I just don't get, why didn't the Boys try to trade him instead of just releasing him ????? At least get a second round pick !!!!!

Free agency caps and stipulations in his contract that would have blown the salary cap out of the water and left them with a huge deficit in talent 'cause they couldn't pay anybody.

This was the cheapest way to get rid of him.
