If you are not going to biamp, should you put your cables to the top or bottom. i have been reading a few things on here about wiring your speakers, I have always put them on the bottom posts, But i have read some people say to put them on the top post's, makes no sense since they are bridged. So i was hoping somebody would put this to rest for me.

The manuals state to put them in the top, but it doesn't make any difference.

It just says that in the manuals to give people peace of mind that they're connecting them properly. The pairs are bridged together, so it makes no difference.

I wonder if you actually could do that...I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Not that I'm suggesting anybody try it or anything...lol

You have that backwards. You'll get the best sonic response with the + on the bottom and the - on top.:rolleyes:

With the binding jumpers installed, I used the top binding posts for a little dryer taste music and bottom binding posts for a little weter taste music for it's neutrality.

I recommend replacing the binding post jumpers with Emu Feathers. It will drastically improve SQ in every area.

Okay, now that someone has opened the Pandora's Box of whether or not to replace the stock metal jumpers w/ aftermarket wire jumpers, has anyone , anywhere, at anytime done this and found that the sound was improved???

That was Part A; Part B is do you need to use wire jumpers that are the same as the amp to speakers wires? Like, the speaker wires in my stereo system are Audience Au24. They were not cheap. Audience does make Au24 jumpers, but I bet they cost over $400 for 2 sets of 2.

I suppose I can do that, but it's a pretty big favor.:p I won't even charge you anything. It's going to be a few more weeks though before the feathers are prime for the plucking. I'll keep you updated.

If anyone else is interested, I'm selling Emu Feathers as replacement jumpers for 699.95 a pair.

Alright! It'll be a couple weeks before the next batch of feathers is ready. I'll even cut you a bulk deal. 599.95 per pair. That saves you 700 dollars! This is an unbeatable deal.

Not true at all. I've done very extensive testing comparing different feather types. Emu feathers are superior in every aspect. I found buffalo wing feathers to really hold back the mid-range.

What I did with my LSi15s is I left the stock jumpers in place, and also added another jumper cut from the speaker wire. Since I did this at the same time as I upgraded the speaker wire I cannot say if it made any differance or not in the sound. However, overall there was a definite, positive improvement in switching from stock cheapo 16 guage to hardware store generic 12 guage.
