If the sound of this little system doesn't give you a woody (or the appropriate response from our female members), then you are either deaf or need help from your pharmacist :D

The PS Audio Digital Link III and the PS Audio Quintet are just starting the break-in, so it can only get better!

How do you like those Epos ELS-3's?
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

Those Epos ELS-3's are highly rated and sound way better than their list price.

The EPOS ELS-3's are just incredible for a reasonably priced mini-monitor. IMHO they blow away the LSi7's as far as midrange, soundstage, and imaging. Less bass than the LSi7's, however they produce alot of very nice bass considering the driver size. They are worth a listen if you have the opportunity. I also have the AV123 ELT-525's, and although they also sound very good, and have a little more bass, the EPOS just do more things right.

Rich - anytime I'm here on a weekend you are welcome! I picked up about 5 albums Saturday morning, and Sierra picked out an album also.

Doug, good to see you putting some of that closet audio gear to work. I bet that is a sweet sounding little system......

And the volume control on the Rogue pre now works after putting in a couple of new batteries! There's some weird battery juice destroying vortex or rift in the time-space continuum at a_mattison's place!

    Doug,

Were those the same Epos that you brought to my place? If they are those do sound really good, I was pretty impressed! I just bought a pair of the ELT-525's for the bedroom rig, I'm sure they'll make good TV speaks. Hopefully they pass the WAF and come close to matching my furniture.

Mike - yes, those are the same EPOS speakers that we had at the IL Polkfest. I also have the ELT-525's and they will be great TV/HT speakers. They have a little additional bass slam over the ELS-3's.

Those little speakers were the SURPRISE in the Chicago polk fest. Amazing how good they sound for their size.

That rig is missing a TT!!!!!

Ricardo - the TT for that system is a MMF 5.1 that I just purchased from another CP member a while back. I haven't yet gotten the Ortofon 2M cart mounted and setup on it. Rest assured, a TT will be involved at some point.

I sure hope you got your remotes fixed. I must say it is annoying not to have a remote for a cdp. I mean you had (2) capable remotes and neither one of them was worth a damn :D:D

After about 6 hrs of break-in the PS Audio DLIII is starting to sound very impressive. It was definetely better than the internal dac in the Rotel CDP, which is no slouch. I need to get about another 20 hrs on it this week, and then next weekend I can compare it directly to several other DAC's and see which one I want to use.

The second remote worked just fine, thank you... That one is even trained to run up and down the stairs for beer

I actually haven't worried about fixing the Harmony remote and forgot that I left the Rotel remote in the box when I put it in the attic. I very rarely flip around songs once I put a disc in.

Doug, Sounds like a great little system! The Rogue was impressive when it wasn't cycling the volume!
