What's your Source?

OK...So I have this shiny new Denon AVR 1706 with lots of options right? I have hooked up the AVR with my Right/Left Polk Audio Studio 10's, a nice center speaker plus a Polk Audio PSW111 sub woofer (No rears yet) Well can someone explain to me what the perfect "Source" option I should use to watch a movie? It would appear I have a number to choose from like 5 channel and Dolby Digital D, etc. What is the optimal source to use to watch a movie or is that just a personal choice on what sounds better?
Thanks
Thanks

It doesn't matter, it's only video.Political Correctness'.........defined

At first he sounded like the stock market. That too has kicked me in the a*s!! emptying out my wallet and retirement account!! For now I am very happy with my Denon AVR 1706! I have also enjoyed my Polk Audio Studio 10s for years now. My new addition of the PSW111 Sub Woofer is very nice too!! -
That PSW111 is a nice tight sounding sub. It's good in small to mid-sized rooms. Won't get you real low but it's loud and very musical...a very under-rated sub IMHO.
Denons are also nice receivers. I run the AVR-2807...does everything I need it to do and even though it's not an AVR 3 or 4000 series it doesn't sound 'that' different from its bigger brothers. Not enough to warrant the extra cost...

I usually play whatever is listed on the rear of the case. DTS is the best for me.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
