The qualifying is on ESPN2 right now. The finals won't be until tomorrow night.

Do you know when exactly are the finals tomorrow?

AFAIK they start racing at 10AM; should be back by 5 or 6 to watch it on TV.

The wife says it's not on tv until 9 o'clock CST. ESPN2

Appreciate those in attendance sharing some pics.

    Thanks

Back in the 80's and early 90's I turned wrenches for Ronnie 'The King' Davis. We ran the full circuit with all the stops. Super Gas, Super Comp & Comp Eliminator. It was a pretty heavy grind keeping the cars running on a consistent level. We had to hit the numbers on the money eveytime. Ronnie introduced me to all the names back then. Kenny Bernstien, Joe Amatto, John Force, Robbie Vandergriff, Waren Johnson and so on. It was an experience I'll never forget. The thunder of some of those cars were really impressive. I was able to make a few passes in some Pro Stock rides from Warren Johnson & Kurt Johnson. We always made stops when possible along the way to do a little local racing. Ronnie has gone on to the Pro Mod side now. Back in the day if we were on the off season we'd hit local strips for bracket races. Super Quick or Fast 16 as they were called. DO NOT make the mistake of telloing Ronnie you were the low qualifier for the track that night when we got in the staging lanes. He'd pull all the stops and add the biggest pills in the nitrous set-up and add weight to the front end of the ride to keep the wheels close to the ground even if it meant blowing the engine. How about a 3/4 track engine blow in the 1/8th mile with a pass of 4.88? He meant bidnez!!

Should be on ESPN2 tonight. Was an interesting day for sure, there were a few scary moments (parachute failures, etc.) but thanks to the new safety regulations everything was okay.

I was standing in the first row on the right, BTW. :D

Flying out Friday the 10th for Denver. The wife and I are going to do a little mountain sight seeing and attend the 50th annual Mopar Mile High Nationals. I only bought tickets for Sunday, the finals. Front row section 4. I bet it's a good time.

Anyone else from the area going to attend?
