I'm an RT55 lover also. heard and owned the RT800 and have to agree they sound very close.
Congrats on the 90.00 pr..:eek:Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Just picked up a set of RT55's for $90. They sound really nice, lots of bass. Just have to find some stands I can put them on that will support them. They are definately not small "bookshelf" speakers.

Does anyone know which Polk subwoofers match the RT55's?

I disagree. IMO they were one of the hidden gems of the late 90s and early 00s Polk line. Very good and tight bass and the Tri-Lam tweeters while not as smooth as the vifas in the LSis, they are not harsh. Between them and the RT25i you had Polk's best speakers of that particular era.
