Cable problem

Here is what I am dealing with.
I replaced the Morrow Audio wires with the latest cables I am checking out. Everything was sounding real nice. I hooked up the new/used cables and the right channel had very little/muted highs. At first I thought I blew the right tweeter/tweeters in my SRSII's. After swapping out tweeters I ruled out blown tweeters. Next I moved cables form right to left channel and the problem followed the one cable in question.
Just to check things out again I hooked up the Morrow Audios and everything is back to normal. The cables in question are Audioquest Mammoths and the name fits the size of the cables.
Any suggestions are appreciated
Thanks Drew

Send them back Drew.

Drew, it sounds like the cables have been compromised. Follow the advice above.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Thanks guys
How the hell does a cable get compromised or what could go wrong?? I thought either it works or not! Then what again do I know. Could it be the terminations? -
Well, after asking about this problem on a couple different forums and getting the same advice from all of them which was "send them back" I decided to open up the problem cable. I found a loose/bad connection. Who knows how, when or why it went bad but it was a easy fix. A little clean up and solder and its fine.
I am a typical guy, I don't turn around, ask for directions and hate returning anythings. -
Glad it came to a satisfactory end.

Well it looks like you answered your own question. That's how they get compromised. Glad to hear you are up and running.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

LOL I hate it when someone asks for advice then does not take it!!! -
Why? If you don't mind me asking. Are they not working again?~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

No they are great
What i meant was I asked for advice and did not use it. I hate it when someone asks me what they should do and then go ahead and do something else. -
