I can't believe people would take risks like this.

I bet the rush must be incredable however.

I've seen that type of 'flying' before, but if they're not recovering their skis, that's irresponsible. I think it would be fun to do though........

I wonder if somebody could get hit with the skis?

I just can't imagine free falling with that funny suit about 2 feet from a rocky cliff.

Ah yes, The Trollveggen. Carl & Jean Boenish of the USA pioneered this sport years ago. Carl lost his life at the Trollveggen in '84.

A friend sent me that video a couple of weeks ago. Talk about adrenaline junkies. Flying next to the wall was one thing...buzzing that road overlook was something totally different. Misjudge just a couple of feet and they will be scraping his balls off the rocks. Not for me, but cool to watch.

    Probably by starting at 'SkyVenture'

    http://www.skyventure.com/

My brother went to the one in NH a couple of weeks ago. There's only 4 of them in the US, and about 11 on the whole planet.

    At $40 for 2 MINUTES, it's a little expensive, but something that's probably a blast.:D

Yeah and this is how not to do it. I did see the video above, but not to fun when your friends watch you die.

Yeah, he said he had fun. From the way he described it, it's basically a GIANT exhaust fan, like the kind they have in the traffic tunnels in downtown Bahston:D Apparently, the one in NH is the only one for the entire N.E. region, so that's where the Armys' Golden Knight parachute team practices.
Also, other parachute teams from around the world, Germany, I believe is what the instructor told my brother.
They rent the place out for a week:eek: Don't worry, I'm sure it's GSA pricing;)

It's funny, I was calibrating a couple of these style fans just last month, and discovered that 1/2" of pitch on the blades is = 50k cfm:)

    Sorry for the derail
