Onix RSC200 "bigfoot" center speaker (FedEx Special)

So, I sold my bigfoot to someone about a month ago, and FedEx decided to handle the package like a midfielder for Seattle Sounders FC.

Anyway, they DID settle the claim (partially). But now I have this great fully-functional and not all that damaged bigfoot. Truly. Check the pics.

I have no use for it, so I'm passing the savings on to you!

The front left corner is dinged.. probably the size of a half-dollar. The drivers, grill, top endcap, and rosewood cab look to be in good shape. The bottom has a couple scuffs, probably put there by FedEx when they examined it for claims.

I've got it playing downstairs now, and it works beautifully.

So, if someone is thinking about putting one into a TV cabinet, or behind a screen, or just doesn't care all that much about a dinged corner, this one's for you.

Also, here's a thread that goes into great detail on how to repair the piano finish, if you're handier than I. Which, honestly, is just about everybody.

I've taken some photos of the bruised beauty and posted them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/96273981@N00

$195+shipping for it.. local pickup more than welcome.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

You're welcome to come by and have a look. PM me if you'd like to set up a time. Unfortunately, I don't have any other speakers to to hear it as part of a full system.

    But it's a beast of a center. :)

The only Kef center I've ever owned was an iQ6c and the Rocket center destroys it.

I've compared this center speaker to the LSiC and it absolutely destroys it in every way. Bigger sound, beefier bass, and better separation of detail

Timbre matching is for wussies. If Bigfoot is better, buy it.

I would say probably not since the sizes of the cabs are curved.

Yeah, and if I was going to keep it, I might go ahead and try the steps in that repair link. It doesn't look all that difficult.

    Haha.. much appreciated. :)

Yeah, feel free to PM me if you'd like to come by and see everything. I can pull some cheapie family room Athena's into the room to get an idea of the bigfoot's sound, but it's such a better speaker than the Athena's. :)

I cant believe you havent sold this yet. If I lived in Seattle or anywhere near I would be all over this like a fat kid on a snickers and I am strictly a 2 channel guy :D

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D
