Can the Sub and Main front L/R be bi wired from the AVR's front L/R speaker terminals without running the wires to the main speakers thru the Sub. I am pushing 100 watts per channel with a Sony 5.1 AVR.

Or should I use the LFE to drive the sub. The manual says they will sound better if wired thru the speaker terminals.

I would use the LFE, that's what I used on my setup and it sounds good to me. There is another thread on this, and there are a few different opinions on it. Here is a link....

    Hi bearro

What make is your sub? I know there is at least 1 make (can't recall which) that designs its subs to be speaker wired rather than the usual LFE RCA connection.

I tried both and prefer the LFE RCA mono jack. After all that is what that LFE output is for on your AVR. However like on my Polk Audio PSW111 there are a number of options on the back of the sub to connect. I practice the KISS method and use the LFE

Def LFE on any Polk sub.
