Sub and Main wiring hook-up

I am wiring my Home Theater and wanted to know if two sets of speaker wires can be run from the front L/R out of the 5.1 AVR to the Sub and the main speakers. There is no way I can run from the Sub to the mains.

    From what I understand, no, it does not make a difference. Parallel is parallel -- it doesn't matter whether the wires are connected at the AVR or the subwoofer. The sub still runs off it's own amplifier, so it should not affect impedance or draw power off your AVR's amp.

    Check with the manufacturer of your sub to make sure....
