Automatic Anti-static Record Cleaning Arm

Guys,

What do you think of this? I have been looking at it and think it would help to keep the lint off the needle while the album is playing. If it can remove any of the static as well that would be a bonus.

Planning on trying it out to see if it does any good.

So I am looking for opinions. Is it a good deal or just "snake oil"?

    I have a 2nd tonearm brush system from Nagaoka. It actually does a good job. It had a brush and a pad both on it. I have found the one I have works good. I have not seen it for sale since I got it many years ago though.

    For the one you found on the internet, I do not know if it works or not. It looks like it might if it has a ground strap. I could not tell from the pics or the description if it did or didnt.

    As long as it is grounded it should do a nice job of minimizing static. Just make sure to keep that brush clean.

    Thanks for the comments guys. I ordered one just to see if it works. It's a cheap experiment. I agree that the brush has to be kept clean and also the grounding will be important. I will clean it each time I play an album. I am one of those who never gave up on vinyl.

    I am putting it on a 1978 Rega P2 with a RB250 arm and Rega Bias cartridge.

    I will let everyone know how and if it works for me.
