Reach higher volumes with ease when playing vinyl then CD? is it because of analog vs digital?

    It's probably the amount of gain.
    ~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

    Digital puts more strain on an amp IMHO because the sound is more precise. Vinyl is a warmer and more natural sound and less stressful to an amp and to the ear....

    . . . and the gain set in the phono pre is probably high.

    i did'nt think about looking at the setting on the phono pre. i will take a look at it later.
