Hey everyone just have a few questions on a couple of amps that I happened accross in my moms basement. The first one is a Onkyo intergra a-8190, I have figured out that this was manf. in the late 80's and haven't really found much info about it, anyone that has one or has had one in the past are they good, worth anything. The other one is an Onkyo a-65 I think this one was from the early 80's, same questions on that one as well.
Thanks for everyones help

hook them bad boys up and find out if they work.. and how good they sound... that's what I would do. you might have just found a gem of an amp for free!!PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

The A8190 is a decent little integrated amp, 100wpc I think. Good for a garage system or low end bedroom system. They run fairly cool and are usually rock solid. The phono sections are fairly quiet too. Other than that, they are typical Japanese mid-fi stuff. I had one of the Onkyos from a few years later (A809 I think) and it was decent. I replaced it with a higher end Sony ES integrated, and then eventually with separates. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Try this site as they just might have the manuals for your two pieces of gear.
