Ok, so as you can see in the picture below, i'm kind of starting to run out of room for my equipment!

I'm interested in either buying a seperate component rack, or a new (bigger) TV stand, to accommodate my current and future gear. I went looking around at a few local places, but unfortunately there wasn't much to choose from.

Do any of you guys happen to know of any reputable online sellers for this type of furniture?

    Check out http://www.racksandstands.com/

They have a pretty nice selection, and their prices are pretty reasonable.

This is the one I'm looking at. I'll probably pick one up in a couple months after I get my RTi's for the HT setup. I'm starting to run out of room for all of my stuff too...lol That's not a bad thing though.;)

That one's pretty nice. It's expandable, so as you get more components you can add more shelves to it. You have the option of getting shelves with either 7" or 9" spacing too when you add extra's to it. You can remove the caps on the poles and fill them with lead shot too for extra stability, and vibration dampening. They're available in several different color combinations too.

Sanus has some pretty nice selections too.

    Hey metal --

Pull your speakers away from the wall, especially the one on the right (swap places with the tree). I'll bet you a hundred bucks you'll get better sound.

This picture was taken about a month ago when i first got my XPA-3, and it seems to make it appear that my speakers are right up against the wall (but they aren't). It's just the way i shot the picture, at an angle, that makes the right one seem like it's sitting up against the wall more.

Since then i've moved the speakers around a little though, I've tried pulling them out and away from the walls a bit more. Doing so definitely made a difference, so i'd be out 100 bucks had we actually bet! ;)

I haven't messed with the tree yet, but i'll give that a shot as well.
    Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Not sure of your budget but my current favorite is standout designs www.standoutdesigns.com. I like it because it will hold my center below the TV and all my gear. I have never done business with them though.

I also like BDI as I have had one for 8 years and it's been great. These can found at BestBuy Magnolia and Audioadvisor.

A seperate component rack would be the cheapest solution.

The folks at Studio Tech have pretty decent stuff. They are also sold at Racks & Stands. I prefer to deal with compamy directly. They have great customer service.

Most of thier items are modular so you can just add pieces / shelves as your equipment grows. You can see my Rack, that is similiar to your existing one, made by Studio Tech in the Showcase.

PS I also like the Salamander stuff, but don't currently own any

I like those HF-4 racks, great price too. Unfortunately my Amp exceeds the weight limit of 50lbs per shelf.

The HF-33 is nice as well, not so much in price though.

    Metal,
How do you like the center channel above the tv - sound wise. And, I am assuming you have the brackets screwed into the studs. I was looking for a solution for my CSia6, because it is difficult to find a stand to hold the center and everything else in one unit.

I'm using the HF-3 similiar to your exisiting rack. On the left side, I have an Emotiva LPA-1, B&K ST2140, and my AVR. After 2 years it doesn't show any evidence of bowing or other weight related issues. It is mid-priced between HF-4 and HF-33. I did add an extra 9" shelf.

I did call about weight capacity with the extra shelf. They said the original specs still applied for the bottom shelf, and there was a max weight of 300 lbs. I never totaled the total component weight, but if I had to guess it would be around 250lbs or so.

Link for the HF-3 Spec Sheet

Not trying to push you in any particular direction, but just wanted to say that I have been really happy with the performance of the HF-3 rack

Sorry for the double post, I don't like to edit. Here's a good link to Elite's website for entertainment stands.
