RTA-15T's Anyone near here might want to keep an eye on these, they look to have some potential. Selling 2 pairs of these on one auction might keep the bidding low.

I sure they sound great (they're Polks afterall !) but I don't think have the dimensional effect that SDAs produce.

The RTA15T was a wonderful speaker to start with. I know the gentleman who designed and voiced the RTA15T (TL) and he is quite proud of the end result to this day. With some some tweaks (replace the SL3000s for the RDO198s and upgrade the XO components) they would sound fantastic. I made these mods to their little brother (RTA11TL) and am blown away.

This particular set needs some TLC but assuming the MWs are all functioning, they would be a good find. I do wonder about the photo of the rear PR. There may be some damage. If you are interested, I'd ask the seller about that.

Which model MW are used on those, and is the PR the same as on Mon10s ?? I tried to find these speakers in the list of previous models and couldn't find them !?

The RTA11TL uses the MW6510. The RTA15T (TL) uses the the MW6503. The Monitor 10 started out with the MW6501 and later switched to the MW6503.

I don't have the model numbers for the PR's but I believe that they are different. If you really need to know, you might try contacting Polk Customer Service. They are very helpful.

I live near Harrisburg. What does everyone think they are worth. What should I be comfortable offering him. (assuming work is needed on them.)

    Thanks

Is anyone following this? 6hrs to go. 4 - RTA 15TL is currently at $180. They are kinda rough looking but salvageable. Does anyone have an opinion of a range of what they might be "worth"? They are about 30 mins from me.
I wouldn't mind them as a project but I don't want to overpay. I expect to have to put money into them. (XO mods, prob several speaker replacement, cloth, etc, etc.)

I was looking at them. It seems like a roll of the dice. They seem to be a project. It is hard to say what they are worth withour hearing them and personally seeing the damage on them. I could see them go in the three hundred dollar range for four of them.

with 3 1/2 hrs to go they are upto $300 now, im guessing over 4 will be the winning bid. so its hard to say, if the drivers are all in working condition it would still be a decent deal but who knows if they are.

Hello, I am new to this forum and Polk speakers. I am the one who purchased the speakers mentioned in this thread. The speakers overall clean up pretty well, 2 of them are mostly blemish free, and 2 have some minor damage to exterior bottom (cosmetic, not structural) and one has a broken binding post, and another a non-working tweeter. Anyway, I ordered a pair of the 198 tweeters, and will install in 2 best cabinets.
I need help with two things. One is, I went to Madisound for replacement binding post, but am not sure which one would be correct replacement. My other question is if anyone knows where I might find the pold badge, as it was missing from one speaker grill (checked w/Polk when ordering tweeters, but they cannot help me).
Thank you for any help or information you can give me.
    Scott

The only place I ever heard those was in a electronics shop in Jedda, Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War. Anybody familiar with some of the front ends they use over there (a 10th generation, home copy of a commercial pre-recorded cassette is obviously how Allah wills it) will know that these were demoed at a distinct disadvantage and they still displayed a lot of potential. At the time I had just bought a couple pair of RTA11T back in the States, and was getting accustomed to them.

    RTA11TL, TSI100, PSW100 and RM7's

I've had my RTA11TL's since new and recently made some nice tweaks (XO component upgrades and replaced the tweeters with the RDO198's). I am very pleased with the results.

Man, that is a bunch of speakers! I saw some additional modifications for the speakers I just purchased, but they were way over my abilities. I am not familiar with all the models you have, but when I have some more time I'll have to google them to see what they are.

Most of mine are low end stuff that I'm going to use to set up a basic HT system or sell. The RTA's are my babies. If you need help with mods, I may be able to lend a hand or I think that there are others who are even closer.
