Opinion on Sonance "The Sub"
Anybody have experience on this subwoofer. I can get it cheap for below 150$ locally. Not too many reviews on the web- the few that I found speak well off it.
The one issue that I see is that on teh low end it goes down only to 35hz (at +-35db). However, I was planning to put in a pair of aura pro bass shakers on my couch anyway.
I am planning to use it for HT primarily. My living room is 10X24X15

Frequency Response: 35Hz to 150Hz +/-3dB
Power Handling: 150 watts
Crossover: 12dB/octave

variable: 45-150 Hz
With an internal 150 watt amplifier, The Sub can pump out 105dB of explosive bass. Line-level and speaker level outputs provide flexibility in a stand-alone system or mated to satellite speakers.
Special Features:
· Front-mounted crossover, volume, and phase controls provide the custom installer unlimited choices in tailoring to any sound environment.
· 150w RMS internal amplifier provides ample power to drive any source
· Speaker level and line level inputs and outputs offer maximum system versatility
· Mode switch in THX position bypasses the variable crossover and volume controls. This sets The SUB within THX parameters to align with Dolby Digital/DTS processors.
