I am looking to take my current system to another level and was wondering if adding a amp or processer would be worth the $. Take a look at my sig to see my current HT set up. I am not too familiar with these components and what the great benefit would be if any. I have just started looking at Rotel to see what they have to offer. any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. thanks for helping me out since i am a newbie regarding these products.

Or get a 3 channel amp and just let your Pioneer Elite 94 (very nice receiver) power your rears, which i'm positive it would do just fine. I have my Pioneer Elite 92 powering my surrounds (RTi A3's), i didn't really notice a difference with them hooked up to an AMP vs the Receiver. The frontstage most certainly made a difference though.

    Hi mcs.

If this were my system, I would upgrade the CSi A4 to an A6 and then add a 200w x3 channel external amp (using the Pio 94 as a preamp and to keep driving the surround speakers) to drive the front 3 speakers.

He can find a 5 channel for about the same price as a 3 channel.

Thanks for all the input. I made the mistake of going to a high end home theater store today and i sat in their home movie theater. anyone have 150k i can borrow and never pay back. It just amazes me what they can do with all this stuff. I thought i had a decent set up but now realize that i have just begun to get my feet wet. I guess i'll just have to start saving to put together a better system in the next year and go from there. why cant we all be rich on this board! haha.

As mentioned Outlaw, Parasound, Emotiva, Rotel, Sunfire, Nad, Adcom, B & K. All make good gear. Try to get at least 200wpc that way you will clearly hear a difference. Go for a 5 channel & be done with this particular upgrade.

I can tell you that it won't be cheap. Emotiva has been having great sales so keep your eye peeled there.

If you get a used one you can get more bang for your buck on Audiogon.
