I am new to all this. i have an amp its an sony xplod xm-1002hx. it ran one 12" sub fine. i hooked up another and it starts blowing fuses every time i hook up the remote lead. i check everything and nothing helped. i pulled it out and opened it up. It looks like new inside. i use a volt meter touching one side to the ground and one side to the remote lead and there is current going through. can anyone tell me if there is a way to fix this?

you might be going below the amps ohms load rating when you connect the 2nd sub. make sure your wiring either in series or parallel is correct and is not going below your amps ohms rating.
