I'm in the market for a pair of F/X500i. I'm having a difficult time finding a pair in great condition and at a good price. I can get a pair of F/X300i, but I would really rather have the F/X500i. Would I notice the difference between the two? Should I just wait for the F/X500i? I want these the match my current set up, which consists of CS400i, RT800i, RT55i and a PSW450.

Thanks

I would wait till you find what you want. I have the F/X300i and they sound great but if your heart is set on a pair of F/X500i just hang loose and I am sure a pair will pop up. This way there will be no regrets. Good luck.

I am upgrading my system to the Polk Lsi line and may sell my polk FX500 in the next few weeks. I am still waiting to get my Polk LsiFx speakers.

I finally got the F/X500i. They are not in the best of shape. The grills have damage around the edges and there are scratches on the cabinets, but the drivers look good. These should do until I find a better pair. Thanks for all the input.

I am cleaning out all of my home theater gear and I have a pair of FX 500's in great shape. I am going to do a separate post to attempt to sell these. If anyone is interested from this thread let me know.
