I am thinking about purchasing a pair of RTI6's for $200... I just want to know if they are worth the price?
Also what is a good center to buy? Any suggestions?

Yes the rti 6's are good speakers but I would offer him a little less because you can get the newer version rti a3's for about that much on the Internet. A matching center speaker would be the csi 5 or csi 3.

I am buying them from a store so I don't think its possible to get them for cheaper... Where can I find the a3's on the net? I'm guessing they are better than the rti6?

Try watching Polk's Ebay website for a set of RTiA3s - they are not always available and they are typically refurbished units that Polk sells - with a full warranty. That is where I got my RTiA3s - very pleased!

From what I've read, the RTiA3s are not necessarily "better" than the RTi6 - I think the best way to view it is that they took the RTi6 and sonically 'refined' it to make the RTiA3. :D

But that's just my opinion....others may very.

Keep an eye out on Polk Direct, Ebay, Craigslist and Audiogon. I found both pair of rti a3 I had for under $200.

I bought a pair for $200 from Futureshop. I use em as surround rears, but they will be good for fronts as well. full warranty and everything for $200 is a good deal. Being from Canada, we can't buy from Polk on Ebay, also any deal on the net is usually in US dollars and we have to pay exchange, and usually a bunch for shipping. I say buy em.:)

Had the rti6s' for fronts' and csi3 for center, thought the trio sounded great together, but by all means jump on the a3s' like the previous posters suggested. Nice speaker.:D

Bought the same speakers for the same price back on Boxing Day from Future shop. In Canada $200 is the best you're going to find new. As the others posted Polk Ebay won't ship to Canada. Get them, you'll really be impressed with them, real nice bass for the size. As for a centre, I just added a CSiA6 and I have a seamless soundstage. I had a CSiA4 and it was good as well but seemed to be missing a little bass compared to the RTi6's.

Thanks for the input! I'm most likely going to pick them up from Futureshop... I'm gonna use them as rears to go with my rti 10's
