MGM-HD Audio Issue w/Directv

So me and my fiancee are watching the movie Carrie on MGM-HD. For some reason, this channel will only play through my center channel speaker no matter what i do. At the top of the info guide, it says English DD. So why isn't this channel coming through my receiver as DD?
My receiver is on PLII right now, when it should be showing Dolby Digital. I've switced to other channels and they are working fine, Dolby Digital is showing on my receiver and all speakers are playing. And if a channel is not in DD, well then it's on PLII, but still coming through all my speakers.
MGM-HD will only play through my center channel speaker, and for the life of me i cannot figure out why. I've never had this kind of problem before, and every other channel works fine.
And another strange thing, the "L", "R", and "S" channels are the only ones lit up on my receiver, not the surrounds, or the center. Yet the only thing producing sound is my center, very strange.
I really don't think it's a problem with my receiver, since it's only happening on this one channel, but i just don't understand why this would be happening. I suppose it's not a huge deal since i really never watch this channel, but it's driving me nuts.
Any ideas?

Is it all programming on MGM-HD or was it just the Carrie movie? As old as that is I would suspect just a bad audio track. My DirecTV receiver is very old SD and some channels are on different sats. and different transponders on those sats. If it is all MGM-HD programming try and figure out what sat/transponder it is and see if others on the same ones also have the problem. What is the signal strength on the MGM channel? I would suspect it is the MGM channel but maybe it's the Direct receiver.

These are the replies i got on a Directv forum.MGM HD is only two channels of sound. Your DPL II receiver should be able to decode it just like any other Dolby Surround encoded audio.
"Carrie" is only mono, so that's why you would only get sound out of the center channel. As noted DD does not mean 5.1 audio. It can be anything from 1 to 8 or more channels. MGM appears to honor the original soundtracks and OAR of movies, which for me is great news and would never want them to change that.
