If anyone has upgraded their cart. and no longer has use for their old cartridge/stylus, I'd like to buy one to resurrect an old no frills Pioneer TT I have. Just a utility grade one will be fine as long as the needle is in OK shape. If I start liking the vinyl thing enough, I'll break down and buy something better eventually. This TT is a straight arm type and non-P mount. Thanks!!gdb:)

You could get a new cartridge for as little as $39.

I was just hoping to get a better grade of cart. for the same or less $$ by going used. A new stylus for my old AT cart would cost more than $39:eek: If I did go with new, which brand/model is the best deal for $75 or less ??

One of the Sumiko, Shure, Ortofon or Grado carts at < $75 would be fine.

They are all good names in cartridges.
Edit: Audio Technica makes good carts too. -
Thanks H. I. !! If no one offers up one of those hand crafted wooden carts for $60.00, I'll just buy a new cheap one. My old AT cost about $175.00 "back in the day" IIRC,but because it's old, I don't want to take a chance on buying a new stylus that might not produce a "fix":D
