Speaker Meets?

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I was thinking about the future Head-Fi (headphone) meet at the LAX airport in May '09 and I realized that there must be something of this sort for speakers as well. Do you guys know of any organization that holds audio meets or speaker meets?

    I don't. You could check your local audio society which if you are in LA I believe is fairly active.

    I would love to meet up with more people locally to listen to more gear.
