i guess to the winning bidder it is. I have seen them go for lots less. like half to 2/3rd's of that amount.

"It has been stored in a climate controlled non-smoking environment." that would be tough to do... climate controlled.. so it never got cold and it never got warm... so in a safe? Vault? Humidor?

did you search for that particular model of Denon table? Denon made several tables that look just like that one.

I think what set this price so high was that it's been in storage for so long and is in excellent condition for it's age. Selling on Epay is all about how well you write up the description for the auction. ;)

Nothing special. Wildly overpriced. For the same $710.00 you can get a much better turntable on the used market and even a somewhat better table new. My Pro-ject 6.9 is an older but much better table and only cost $400.00 cdn dollars. That said there is nothing wrong with that denon table. It's a very good table. Just not worth any where near that money.

Thanks all, that is what I thought but maybe was missing something. FOr now I am content with my Technics but really like the look of this TT. I was shocked at how much it went for though.

$700 for a denon direct drive? Not worth it by a long shot. That's a $400 max table. Parts for those old Denons are totally unobtanium by the way. Keep your Technics until you are ready to drop $1k on something like a VPI.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...
