Tyler Acoustics Taylos 7U's For Sale

There should be no need to introduce these speakers on this forum as they have many a conversation about them. Many members have had this speaker and at least four members that I know of still have this speaker running in their rig. I am selling due to me wanting to move on in my audio journey and absolutely no other reason as I really have enjoyed the hell out of them. I don't really need to sell them but I can't see such a fine speaker just sitting in a closet waiting to sing as I have done that with too many speakers.

Walnut in finish, these speakers have an absolutely beautiful finish IMO. They have been babied since I got them and they are in I would say conservatively 9 out of 10 condition. They have never been abused or pushed to their limits because I can't freakin' STAND any type of distortion or clipping while listening to music. Since I got them they have been powered exclusively by an Odyssey Stratos amplifier and never brought up to the amps potential due to it becoming too loud to really enjoy.

If you are searching for absolute pinpoint imaging and spatial location within the sound stage, then these speakers are for you. Precision would be a good word for them. They don't need a sub woofer at all but I did augment the Tylers with a VMPS/SMS-1 combo and just so you know, the sub was normally set on a volume level of 2 or a maximum 3 out of an available 100.

I am looking for $2,100.00 firm and I am willing to deliver these speakers up to 3-350 miles away from Charlotte at no cost. I will not however ship these speakers. Don't ask, don't try. It would be nice for these to stay in the family ;). I will also be listing these over at the Carver forum as they are also a part of my "extended" family and they will be offered at the same price with the same conditions.

In order to make things easy to keep track of, please post on this thread if you want them. First come, first serve and I will be going off of the time of the post to determine who had first dibs.

Ty at Tyler Acoustics [ http://www.tyleracoustics.com/ ] can help you if the speakers ever do need servicing or parts/ upgrades and any and all contact information is located on this link for any and all future service needs. Just one more note that really has nothing to do with this sale.....Ty is top notch and will bend over backwards to ensure that you are 100% completely happy with his products. I have nothing but positive things to say about him and his CS. One day along my audio journey, I'm quite sure that I will be a customer of his again.

Both speakers come with the optional grills and come complete with the original boxes, packing material and adjustable spikes. Pictures below.......

Thanks for looking! :D I have more pic's coming. Many of the first pic's came out all out of focus or too dark. Stay tuned for more pic's to come........

Is that the Revelator tweet or the Seas Millenium? It really looks like the the latter, but I thought the 7U's sported the Rev...
Either way, someone's in for a treat.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Those are some gorgeous speakers...I've heard a lot about these before, and would love to give them a try...but that's a bit beyond my price range currently. Someday I'm gonna have to pick up a pair of these though.

    Good luck with the sale.:)

It is the Revelator tweeter and yes Trey, these are the one's you picked up. If they are cherry, please forgive me as I'm not really up to par with my types of woods. If you have any doubt, just refer to the pic's. They are the actual pic's of the speakers.

Thanks for pointing that out Trey. ;)

They're ribbon mahoghany. Tom's pics accentuate the stripes in the wood, but those stripes are actually subtle at most angles under normal lighting conditions.

Ah, thanks EarlyB! Ricardo, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Remember the 1C's I bought from MillerLiteScott last year? Well, I have yet to hook them up. There has always been something about SDA's that has impressed me when set up correctly so I'm gonna dabble with that for a while. I have an Anthem tube amp on the way to power them that has been slightly modded and lately I have really been digging tube gear.

I have two more sets of speakers lined up if my plans for the rig I'm building doesn't work out to my liking and also a couple of really nice, rare and quite expensive tube amps that may come my way as well. The amps will take some time so I'm in no rush. It has taken me about three months to decide to let go of these speakers and I'm still somewhat on the fence but I keep telling myself that to move on in my audio journey......well, I must move on. I have been selling a lot of my gear that was in my last rig and there will be more to come because I'm now wanting to go KISS.

I may end up going through three rigs by the end of this year and I may just end up switching gear left and right like I have been, I don't know. All I know is that I'm ready to make take the next road of my audio journey and that I'm looking forward to it, no matter if it becomes a mistake or not.

I believe Trey meant that they were cherry as in minty, not the wood. Brad is correct, the wood is ribbon stripe mahogany.

Hmmmm...ribbon mahogany (at least in the ones I had) is a tad more reddish. I see yours a bit darker. Not the same finish for sure.

Naw, I'm using that with the SMS-1 and the VMPS sub to augment whatever speaker I end up with. Sorry bub. I'll give you first dibs if I ever decide to part with it though.

George Daniels also has a pair for sale [7U's] for those who are interested in these but live closer to Georgia than I. If you wanted to start an HT rig with these bad boys, well here's one hell of a start if you purchase both of 'em!

Also, I'm willing to trade these for a real nice tube pre-amp. The pre must have 4 or more inputs though to be able to work with my rig.
