I just got a ONKYO DV-SP1000 off ebay for $250, I had to use what RCA cables i had laying around to hook it up to make sure everything was working.
this thing is a beast for a DVD player. it is in great shape a couple small nicks but nothing big. I will have to get some good IC's for it.

I had mine a couple of months ago for about 700 brand new. It is indeed a very nice dvd player. PQ is a little bit soft but cleaner than the Toshiba XA-2. SACD/DVD-Audio playback is excellent.

Mine has HDMI audio drop-out occasionally and there is a slight audio delay. Running Optical or Coaxial digital to my receiver is a quick fix. Other than that there is nothing else to complain about.

That's a killer price for one of those. They typically go for closer to 500-600 dollars. Nice snag.:)

Just picked up an Integra DPS 10.5 for $380. It is essentially the same player as the Onkyo DV-SP1000 with a few minor differences. I agree with everything said above. First thing I noticed when taking out of the box (besides the serious dings Fedex made to the faceplate, but that's another story:mad:), is that this thing is a beast. I previously had a Pioneer DV-59avi, which was about 13 pounds. It was a well-built machine, but the Integra blows it away in build quality. Solid as a rock, almost 30 pounds and feels like a solid plate of steel. You really have to hold one of these to appreciate how solid they are.

As for the sound, simply incredible is the best way to describe it. I've read all the hype about the player being the best under $1500 universal player, but I took it with a grain of salt since the Pioneer was so good. I'm blown away at the difference between the two. The Integra is a little sweeter and more analog sounding on redbook but the detail retrieval is better and the background is blacker. I really couldn't imagine a better value for the price. Plus, it has the added bonus of using its own video scaler with external composite or S-video sources - in a DVD player! Wow. I haven't gushed over a product in a long time. Too bad Fedex screwed up the cosmetics...
