Surrounds, Wire and Sub

Thanks to Polk Direct, I have a beautiful CSiA4 and a set of RTiA3's on the way.

I am thinking of going with the RM8 for my surrounds due to their size. Are these going to be alright as far as their sound? I'm hoping so, since the FXi's are going to be a little large for their location.

I'm also looking for some decent newbie quality speaker wire for my fronts and centers. I've been looking at the audioquest site and those are starting to look pretty nice. Is there a better option for the wires if I don't want to go to overboard on the price. For the wire on my surrounds, I think i'll do the monoprice thing.

Lastly, I could use some advice on a nice sub for around $300 or so.

    For wires look at Signal Cable, Audioquest type 4, and Blue Jean Cable. If you want a Polk sub for under $300 look at the psw 505.

    I just got done ordering the Audioquest type 4 speaker cables for my front and center. Still not sure if I want to go with the FXi's or the RM8's for my surrounds.

    Now it's time to start some research on the sub options...

    Audio Advisor.com is selling the 10" Velodyne VRP-1000 for $259. That's gonna be hard to beat.

    I didn't see that on the audioadvisor website. I guess I'll need to look a bit harder.

    How would that sub compare to the Polk PSW 505?
