Polk SDA 2B and Monitor 5's in Lynchburg, VA

I swore I'd never sell these speakers, but here goes.

First, I am selling my beloved Polk SDA 2B speakers in Oak. These speakers are in very good condition and well maintained. I have owned these speakers for 10+ years and bought them from the original owner (my boss at the time). I have the original Polk SDA manual and original boxes. Both are in fair shape, but they do come with the speakers. I also have the original interconnect cable. These speakers sound great. Price is $325.00

Secondly, I am selling my pair of Polk Monitor 5's. These are in very good condition as well and sound great. Price is $75.00

If someone wanted both pairs of speakers, I would sell both for $350.00

I prefer local pickup only. I do not want to run the risk of damaging these speakers in shipment...especially the 2B's. I may be willing to meet someone within a reasonable range, but they would have to pay for gas.

Those look in perfect condition. I guess there are others out there that are as anal as I am about my speakers! Bravo.

If I were closer I'd definitely consider the SDAs, and that's a really good price. Don't understand why no one is snapping those up?

Come on....someone move on these. SO we don't have to sit here with speaker envy.

Several people are looking at what it takes to drive to Virginia. FYI - I am located 2 1/2 hours west if Richmond and 1 hour east of Roanoke. 3 hours north of Charlotte, NC as well.

This is a very underrated SDA, I'd be on these in a second if they weren't on the wrong coast!

I was considering jumping on these earlier in the week since I'm on business travel to the Petersburg/Ft Lee, VA area this Wed thru Friday. I was originally planning on driving down from Philly where I'd be able to pick them up before driving back.

Unfortunately last minute plans forced me to take a plane instead, so I guess I'll have to pass on yet another set.
Something tells me I would have difficulty convincing security that these are my carry-on.

The Polk SDA 2B's are SOLD - cjmustang69 has a deposit on them an will pick them up soon.

The Monitor 5's however are still available.

I picked the SDA's up yesterday. The speakers were as nice as described by Blake. Drove them back to Chapel Hill, NC and unloaded them last evening. I unpackaged and hooked them up this morning - they sound great. It was a pleasure meeting Blake and completing the purchase with him. Now I need to do more listening to these SDA's and compare sound to my other speakers.

Pack mid-wof separately, they tend to lock up if bounced.

Fortunately Blake had original packaging for the SDA's and speakers are performing perfect as I'm typing this post. I was not aware of the potential for midwoofers locking up - thanks for advice and I will keep in mind should I transport these speakers in future.
