Never could understand the fans of Nascar -
A bunch of cars - all look the same - going in circles. WOW!!!
Considering all the other racing out there, only one this boring could be main stream in the USA.
At least there's the Xtreme/winter games.:)

I never could understand the Goth scene either. Let's dress up, pretend we are vampires, and rock out to loud distorted music. If thats not a fun filled evening, I don't know what is. ;)

To each his own. A 500~ mile race in 2.5 hrs, speeds topping 200+ mph, all within inches of each other. Tire managment, fuel managment. Sounds pretty competitive to me.

    Cheers,
    Rooster

A glass raised to Shane, DEFINATELY.

I know one may take it personal but come on look at all the racing out their and Nascar just don't cut it. Rally - grand prix - superbike!!!!! Want fast - superbike - and they don't go in circles.
And when they wreck - well lets just say airbags don't come to mind. Not cutting anyone down - IMO
Distortion has nothing to with Goth.;)
Actualy just had a great evening of Vampire wine tasting.

    Greetings !

Just wanted to throw in a BIG "CHEERS !" to Russ for the nice letter and kind words that went along with the article.
    I know Shane appreciates it.
It arrived at a nice time of the year, and put a sad,but also happy
    smile on my face
As soon as possible - grab a couple of MGD's and a bottle of your favorite "Shine"-- power up the two channel-put on some Fleetwood -- sit back-relax and raise a glass to "The King"

    Happy Holidays !

CHEERS ! to Mr. Gates and all!

    Jefff

Sorry kids-but I recently fell off the wagon (liver probs)
and when I get my "Rooster on" -- I post.
Don't mean to bring back bad memories-but as my saying goes--

    "Remember me with smiles/parties/happy times,good times-Audio
times...for if you remember me with tears...Don't remember me at all !
    :)

Great Weekend and CHEERS ! to all Jefff

I never found much inthusiasm in watching a race. My dad however he is programmed, he watches the first 5 minutes, falls asleep and wakes up at the end to see who wins. very ineresting to see
Damn you all, damn you all to hell.......
    I promised myself
No more speakers. None. Nada. And then you posted this!!!!

HBomb, I like Nascar too. I'm 29 and was never really into Nascar until halfway through the 01 season. My dad has always liked Elliott so I followed it somewhat. Now I look forward to Nascar like I look forward to the NFL on Sundays. Stewart is my favorite and I also like Jimmie Johnson. We actually had our draft last night for the fantasy league I run.:)

That sounds like fun... since its probably past getting into the action, I'll settle for the mailing list. I accept email through Polk or we can start a thread when convenient for ya.

Perhaps next year I'll jump in.

I wish NASCAR would just give up on the manufacturer's cup competition and go to IROC style. Having different "manufacture" cars out there is such a joke. If one make has an advantage in horsepower, aero's, or handling, they just slow them down to let the others keep up. What's the point? Everyone now days basically has a favorite DRIVER, not if they run a Chevy Ford or Dodge.
NASCAR is probably afraid it would be like the old days when it was basically two makes out there with all the power - Chrysler and Ford.
