I have seen them before but I dont think I would trust placing one of my records in that thing.

I agree. It would be a great conversation piece, but it seems like it would be an accident waiting to happen when real vinyl is at stake.

I like how the seller refers to it as a piece of vintage junk, but wants $40 for it. I guess it would help to know what the cartridges are.

I remember those.......never had a desire to own one. Remember those DAK Industries catalog's from the 80's/90's. Had all those close-out electronics that no one wanted......it was in there.

I would never put a good record on it. I would just like it to have a piece of vintage turntable weirdness. I have a Technics linear tracking unit that plays nice but I don't use. I just love old vintage gear and the weirder the better.

I'm with you on this one. I'd love to have it in my music room.

I think that actually has a magnetic cart on it. I do remember seeing it in the DAK catalogs in the 80's. I think Sharp and Mitsubishi had vertical versions of this also.

I had a Sansui one. Worked better than you'd imagine, but I never put good vinyl on it and it didn't sound particularly good. Had a cool optical system for finding the track breaks. Even had a serial input so you could use a remote on it. Yeah- a remote for a turntable. Go figure.
