I'm thinking about picking up Far Cry 2 this weekend at CC since it's almost half price. Has anyone here played this game, if so, what do you think?

I have it. I really like it. Its gorgeous; maybe the best looking console game yet. The many guns are fun and the multiplayer is respectable. Its certainly worth $30.

The single player's great... the multiplayer is mediocre, but the ability to make your own maps makes for some really great user-created content. I'm 21 hours into the game and only at about 56% completion... so you'll definitely get some serious time out of it. I'm doing all of the side missions and buddy missions, which is why it's taking a bit longer for me, but I'd say you'll get a solid 30 hours out of it even if you do just the story missions.

SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector

It's good for 50 hrs! I am like 40% done and I love it. I just don't have a ton of time to play unfortunately.

Well worth the price if you can get it. The open travel distances are a little hard to get used to, with all the closed confined indoor shooters out...but I am really enjoying it.
