I just received news that a friend of mine was found dead. I do not have any other details at this time.

I thought it was appropriate to post in the CP forum in memory of Rick because Rick drove out to Phoenix AZ with me last November to pick up my SDA-1Cs.

All the way there Rick kept saying "I can't wait to see these speakers they must be some kind of special for us to drive 1100 miles each way".

On the way back Rick kept saying "I can't wait to hear these speakers they must be some kind of special for us to drive 1100 miles each way".

Rick and I had rebuilt his Shovelhead more than once and he helped with with a couple of my Panheads.

I will miss that Cajun.

Thanks all for the support. Rick was one hell of a drummer. He was never a CP member but after hearing my SDAs he loved them.

Seems my friends are fewer and fewer, a good reason to spend more time with them and appriciate all they bring with them.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Wow that sucks!, Sorry for your Loss.

Did he ever hear the SDA-1C's ?

Yes he did and loved how they sounded. We listened to some local blues bands that we had riden to bars to listen to.
Thanks for the question, conjured up some memories I had forgotten.

It was a cold winter one year about 30 degrees. He had his old Shovel and I was riding a 57 Pan. WE made a bet we could get free drinks all night and we did. As we were leaving the last bar and were bundled up becuase it was so cold, Rick stepped off the curb and feel on his back with both hands in his pocket. I was laughing so hard I thought I would puke, he looked like a turtle on his back and could not get up.

We had to kick start our bikes back then. SOme great memories with that guy.

    He will be missed.
