How hot does a 175 watt AB amp get?

The amp is a JBL GT5-A3001 AB 175w monoblock. I want to mount it under the back seat of my Wrangler but there is not much clearance under there. The amp will fit but the cloth on the underside of the seat will just touch the top of the amp.

Anyone know about how hot an amp like this gets? Is this a safety concern?

Depends on how hard you're going to push the amp and how efficient the heatsink is. The only way to tell is to try.

As it turns out, not very. After running it fairly hard for 40 minutes on the drive home, it was only warm to the touch.
