I just got my RTi A5's yesterday, and they really, really lack in highs. The bass, and midrange sounds great, but it's almost like my tweeters aren't working right.

I have them running with a denon 1909, I ran audyysey, and am using the settings that it gave me. I have the speaker wire hooked up to the top posts(don't know if that makes a difference, it's the first time I have had speakers with more than one way to kook them up).

I know that these speakers have been described as being bright, but mine are the exact opposite of that. I really like bright sounding speakers, with very strong midrange. That's why I bought these.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

I may be mistaken but i am sure your wires should be put to the lower posts on your speakers.

Doubt it has anything to do with using the top posts. If the jumpers were removed, then they would be lacking the low end. Since your using the tops posts and your getting the lows, I'd say that your jumpers are in place.

If the jumpers are in place it doesn't matter whether you use the upper or lower posts. If they are not, the upper posts usually go to the highs, and the lower posts are for the lows.

Have you tried playing something in Stereo (2ch) mode? Or if an option Pure Direct or Pure Audio (whatever the Denon equiv is) just to be sure none of the EQ settinsg are having an effect.

Did you play around with the settings on the Denon? What do you have the treble set at?

    Thanks for the help everyone.
I think I have solved my problem. Denon hid the option to actually activate my EQ, deep inside it's many audio options. You can adjust the eq, and switch through various presets very easily, but to activate the manual EQ, you have to go into an entirely different menu.

I haven't really had time to play with it much, but I can definitely get the speakers to sound how I wanted them to. I can't wait to get the house to myself for an hour or 2, and get everything setup/
