I want to give vinyl a try, I'm looking for a cheap TT to see if I get the vinyl bug. I saw the following posting in a local auction.
what do you guys think? How much would you pay for it?
Excellent Direct Drive quartz-locked 33/45 turntable from Sony, model PS-LX3. It's in fabulous condition, fully functional, and ready-to-run with a sweet-sounding Pickering XSV/4000 cartridge & D4000 stylus.
Or any other entry level (cheap) TT to keep an eye out for?

I have thinking the same thing but it is such a gamble buying an older cheap TT that possible needs a new cartridge which could end up spending $120-$150 in the end.
Someone just gave me a Hitachi Linear TT, pretty cheap looking but I am going to give it a try with on eye on something new or demo like a Music Hall or Rega.
