Well my buddys kid was over and a TERRIBLE thing happened she poked a small screw driver into the woofer of one of my LSI7's. I was thinkig of upgrading to LSi9's for the rears anyhow. But will my old FXi3's work for now being they are 8 ohm not 4 ohm will this hurt my amp.

No, you'll be fine. The 8ohm load is easier for your amp to drive than the 4ohm LSi's.

Sorry to hear about the accident...

Is your friend going to pay for a replacement woofer? I suspect that it should be relativley easy to replace, although I have never done so.

those drivers are real easy to replace. I would fix the 7 and stay with it. a much easier speaker to drive than the 9.

Now that your speaker system is destroyed, would you be willing to sell your Parasound electrics?:D

The screwdriver went in between the woofer and the rubber. She also like krinkled the woofer because she stuck her finger in the hole then pulled down. So it is pretty much destroyed. The woofer has folds or ripples in it. I will have to see how much a new woofer is. My buddy does not have allot of money and his wife just left him,and his little daughter said SORRWEE, she is to cute to get mad at. Oh and I still need the Parasound electrics for the rest of the speakers, thanks any way(LOL). The FXi3's sound pretty good back thier. I will use them untill I decide what to do. I really do not think hot glue gun will help this speaker, great suggestion. How would that change the sound. My wife really don't want me getting LSi9's because of thier size.
