Not sure if anyone has heard this story yet, but a chimp attacked a women in Stamford CT today. This was a friend of mine and she is in critical condition. My wife got a call at about 4:00 about the chimp biting someone, but we thought it was the owner and didn't realize it was serious (we thought it was like a dog getting mad and nipping at it's owner). It wasn’t until the police came by to pick up her daughter (she was hanging here with mine) that we realized who it was and how bad it was. Supposedly the chimp attacked her and the owner tried to stop it with a butch knife. The police finial ended up shooting it. I don't know the details, but she has server damage to her face and arm. My wife is with them now.

I never met the chimp, but knew of him. I also didn't realize the size of the thing. Apparently it was almost 200 lbs. I am a firm believer that no one should keep a wild animal in their home, and now someone else has to pay the price.

This is one of the kindest people I know. She pretty much has nothing, but finds a way to get my entire family gifts for christmas. She works for peanuts (she worked for the owner of the chimp), and will/does do anything for her daughter. She is mother of the year material.

Unbelievable. Me and a co-worker had just read this story on CNN. And were commenting on the fact that this is not the first time this chimp had gone out of control.

    Prayers are sent.

Here is the story on CNN.....

It didn't attack anyone last time (in 2003), they just had a hard time catching him.

Prayers sent! I wish you friend a speedy recovery. Doesn't sound like it will be easy. These wild animals are not meant to be pets.

I fully agree! This is a sad story, I pray and will keep on praying for her.

I also pray that the owner will have the heart to do some care for her. Who is taking care of her daughter during this hardship?

    Best wishes!
