How are you guys setting up your speakers when you have a off center seating position.
For instance i have a couch must have an armrest are i go crazy so i sit about a foot to the left of the right channel.
About 10-12 feet away from the speakers themselfs but a far angle from the left side vs right.
How would you go about setting up toe in etc?

    Re-arrange the room...duh ;)

I do not think there is anything really ideal -- I would just make sure the tweeters are hitting the ear in the same angle

I thought about rearranging then realized it would be a major pain to get the surrounds in proper placement for movies and such.
Right now i got it so the right channel goes right next to my right ear and left hits right past my left ear but was wondering if i could do something differant/better.

My situation is the same--my couch is centered, but I sit off to the left. I don't worry about it. I'm finding more and more that minimal toe-in works best for me. I like the seperation and soundstaging this way. I use about a half an inch of toe-in, which actually intersects the speakers about 6 feet behind me. I have never owned a speaker yet that I liked "beaming" right at my listening position.

You need to adjust the speaker distance setting on your receiver. I sit about 2 feet off center to the right. I adjusted the speaker distance settings to reflect left speaker 9.5 feet, right 7.5 feet, center 8.5 feet. This throws the imaging right in front of me. Hope this helps.

In my HT room I moved the couch so that "my" side sits centered. Who cares if it looks good or bad? :D

We are talking HT??? If so, I would just balance the speakers SPL to your chair/seat.

If it is two channel then move the furniture as it look has the lowest of priority.

YMMV, but I'm crossing my Monitor 50s to intersect 3ft. in front of the listening position. Don't know how to explain it, but for me the sound now seems to originate from outside the cabinets in both height and depth, even when sitting off axis. Almost like getting new speakers.

I had tried straight ahead, pointed directly at the main listening position, and intersecting 4-6 ft. behind the MLP, with far less dramatic impact.
