hello all,
well im sending one of my subs back and i was wondering when i unhooked the wire from the speaker i could just leave the wire free right?
cuz it wont be connected to the speaker so it wont make the circuit or whatever complete
am i correct?
or do i need to do something with that wire?

Idealy you should put some ends on it or cover any bare wire with electrical tape, but as long as they two ends don't touch or run up against some metal you should be ok.

cody ya -- wrap that f*cker up good -- i made that mistake with my first sub amp -- my blessed mtx 500D (not 6500 - the snazzy old gold plated terminal 500D) -- i did'nt even know it but i smelled smoke one day and i'm like "whats that" -- turns out the ends touched for a few seconds and ltierally fried it like a burger king chicken tender.
i cried...
then crutchfield sent me a new one and i found out the birth sheet for my old one was like 780 x 1, while the new one was a mere 603 ... and i cried again. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
