RDO198 Tweeter replacements (SL2500)

I have now had the tweeters in for a couple of weeks now. I am very happy with them. I don't really know the correct lingo to use in describing the improvement, but I would say that they have expanded what I hear and with more clarity. All in all, sweet.
I have also just upgraded my subwoofer from an M&K VX7 (another vintage piece of equipment!) to a Klipsch Synergy Sub10. I got it at a Circuit City closeout for $280. Well, I am tinkering around with the different crossovers on the sub & Yamaha HTR-5750 receiver. I have read what I can about setting crossovers and have gotten confused about what I should have the two pieces of equipment set at to mesh them all together properly. I tried to find out what the crossover is supposed to be for my monitor 10's but there is no mention of it in the manual and no reference to it when I google for it. Am I missing something somewhere?

I'm new to the forum, so forgive me if this is a dumb question:
Where are you finding the info on these replacement tweeters for older speakers?
I have a pair of M12's I picked up that need a couple of tweeters, and I don't want to slum it with a pair of ebay 2500's.
Are these tweets people get from Polk just newer drivers that fit in the faceplate?
I thought about trying some 5000's (saw a good deal), but I wasn't a) sure they mount up correctly or b) if that's even a good idea to go too far outside the envelope (so to speak).

I take it you mean Monitor 12's. Call Polk at 1-800-377-7655 to order new tweeters. The replacement for your SL2500 is the RD0198-1.
And no, 5000's will not work.Political Correctness'.........defined

Yeah. I do mean Monitor 12's.
I'm a Polk n00b. I have a pair of 5jr's (Monitor 5, right?), but that's the extent of my Polk ownership before last week. The replacement for your SL2500 is the RD0198-1.
I saw the part number before, but my searches for specs and pictures of didn't turn up much... so I appreciate the verificationAnd no, 5000's will not work.
I'm always willing to consider grotesque and/or ill-considered replacements (for lots of things) when available. Sometimes it works, more often it doesn't. Thanks for nixing that mistake
