My snowmobile trip

A friend and I started out at Mont St. Anne in Beaupre (east of Quebec City). Headed north past the Saguenay and up into the Mont Valin area. Then headed East to Tadoussac and back west along the St. Laurence back to our starting point.
I know it's all "french" to most of you but let me tell you that the beauty of the countryside in winter in Quebec is absolutely breathtaking. There are over 20,000 km. of trails to discover here.
This was 3 days and 1,000 kilometers (a short trip by serious snowmobiler standards). The buddy we met up with had already been riding for 5 days. I can't get this trip out of my head and am planning a full week of riding next season. I wish I hadn't used up my vacation time or I would have done it this season.
The trails were as smooth as a carpet and conditions were simply superb!
I'll bet some of you guys didn't know that you could stay in an ICE hotel in Quebec! Check it out.... http://www.icehotel-canada.com/
Anyway, here are a few pictures for you.

Yeah I thought that was pretty cool too. Park Services uses that up in the mountains. There are lots of cross-country skiers and hikers up there.
The sad part is that this may be the last year that that area of the park will be open to snowmobilers.

I saw that ice motel in a documentary of "Off the top hotels" a couple of weeks back. No thanks.
Looks like you had a great time. I'd like to actually do that one year because that's a lot of beautiful land to see. Did you run across any wildlife in your trip?~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

Nope, no wildlife. I was kinda hoping to see a moose or elk. I've come across deer on the trails a few times though.
If you seriously consider a snowmobile trip up here there are a number of rental places and I would be more than happy to be your guide.
