Yes, a few of us own them. We like the way they sound - I would say good balance and able to handle gobs of power. What are you looking to use them for? H/T or 2 channel? What are you, or would you, be driving them with?

mainly 2 channel and I always use a sub no matter the speakers bass response, I have an Onkyo receiver dont really know the model # puts out decent power or a Sony STR DA2 ES and use them in my main. Are these pickey on power?

Is $450 in excellent condition a good price for these?

That's what I paid for mine from a club polk member about a year ago. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Mine are Rosewood and they are beautiful, I have had the maple which were faily decent to look at, but I have alway been partial to the black ones and would pick those up for my H/T and move my Rosewood to one of my 2 channel systems if I had the chance. Maybe just me, but a guy's 2 channel should scream elegance and the Rosewood do that.

Short answer - yes, you will enjoy them for years. Go pick them up. The plastic surrounds can come loose, but a little super glue will fix that.

These are the black ones I have some SDA SRS 2.3 for the main HT so these would go in the 2 channel room and replace the SRS 2B's

If it were me, I'd put the 2.3's in the 2 channel rig with a decent amp, not an AVR and use the 2B's in the HT rig.

I took your advise and put the 2.3 in the 2 channel room and hooked them up to a yamaha amp/ preamp and what a difference. One thing I have noticed is the Sda line are real particular of the rooms acoustics. Everything has sounded better in my partially finnished basement than my living room, I also got the L90's today and what an awesome speaker those are. Those replaced the 2.3's in the main theater/ music room and I have no complaints.
Thank you everyone for your advise!

Polk lit says they are "compatible with 8 ohm ouputs". Are they actually 8 ohms? I doubt it. probably closer to 5 or 6. Polk had to put that on there because most people were buying cheaper AV receivers that were limited bandwidth in the amp department.

They were rated to handle up to 250 watts. That seems a bit low to me. Oh yeah, they were rated at 90dB sensitivity. THAT seems OK.
