Biggest scam, HDMI wire prices...

I'm not sure if this topic and discussion has already been beaten to death, but the biggest scams be pushed onto consumers who go to CC and BB are HDMI Monster cables and other cable companies who sell their wires for anything over $40 bucks. Monster has cables over $100 bucks. But all HDMI cables as long as they are up to the latest specs of 1.3a or 1.3b Category 2 will offer the same results. The quality and reputation of the company needs to be looked at and if the cables are really HDMI certified. A great highly respected company is Mediabridge which increases reseller margins by producing high quality products minus the costly layer of advertising and marketing expenses that many retail brands ultimately must pass on to their customers. Mediabridge offers an attractive & profitable option to commercial clients who find little value in the higher cost of heavily marketed retail brands.
I was once suckered into thinking Monster cables would give me better audio and picture quality, but I soon realized I was suckered. Mediabridge cables are high quality and can be had on Amazon.com for $3-10 bucks.

even better, your best place to get a solid heavy gauge of HDMI cables (at any length) is www.monoprice.comI am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Hmm...and a name like digitalvideo ? Are you Mediabridges CEO ?
Actually if you buy Monoprices higher end HDMI cables ( The 1.3's with the jackets ) they not only work perfectly, they look fantastic too and dont cost an arm and a leg either...just slightly more then their standard colored cables.
Problem is I went to buy more the other day and all the popular lengths were sold outThe first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club -
A few years ago i bought 2 Audioquest HDMI-1 cables at Tweeter for $200 a piece, $400 total...:eek::eek::eek::o

No, not associated with anything that has to do with electronics. I found Mediabridge on Amazon.com and all the reviews from customers were very high and they are a quality company with great customer service. You can get them on Amazon.com for $3-10 bucks.

I went to Charter where I have my cable business and they gave me free HDMI cables. Of course they charge me through the roof for the service. I guess there is no such thing as a free lunch

ok, so what's wrong with monoprice's HDMI cables?
-
What's wrong w/ Monoprice is that its too cheap! And so is Monster. I always go for flagship Vampire, Crystal or Chord. :cool::cool::cool::p
+++++ on Signal and Blue Jeans, but add Element and Zebra to that great value list.____________________________________________
