This is effed. I was still only interested in video games and shooting model rockets at this age.

Sorry to hear that. I was getting little boners all the time even when left alone at that age.:D;)

I'm quite sure that some of you could have been a father at that age. I know I could have. Some folks start a little earlier than others. :D

I'm glad I was a little smarter about it then he was when I was his age.

I hope when I have kids then don't do half the things I did.

I feel really bad for the baby. What a horrible environment to grow up in.

Oh, I don't know; if the mom and dad can work around their schedules (she teaches Astrophysics at Eaton, he's a post-grad student at the Einstein Institute ..... I'm assuming ), then things will work out just great !

Seems questionable that the 13 year old is the father, doesn't even look like he's hit puberty. As far as 15 year old girls getting pregnant, nothing new there.

I don't doubt it has other uses.. but at 15, c'mon. she was a teenage tramp.

There's legit reasons to use birth control other than as contraception...

For instance, it is used in plenty (meaning thousands) of girls at that age to help regulate her menstrual cycle.

Or, he parents could have realized that this type of thing is becoming more and more commonplace and tried to think ahead.

Does that warrant you being an **** and calling some 15 yr old girl a tramp?
    No.

    No.

Um, evidence suggests that she is.

That evidence being that this news story is actually months old. The court announcement was yesterday but The Sun ran a piece months back that stated that the chick didn't know which one of 4 guys other than Alfie also had the possibility of being the dad. All the guys are also younger than her too. She's a tramp. Just because she's 15 doesn't mean she isn't.

As far as birth control, yes, it is used for several medical reasons because most birth control is hormone regulated. It's used as a menstrual cycle regulator because it not only reduces severity of cramping and such but also reduces severity of mood swings. It is also used in hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy to help combat some other side effects of menopause in older women. The side effect is that you don't get pregnant...well, rather greatly reduce your chances of getting pregnant.

When he posted his comment all he had to go on was the Sun article, which never mentioned any other guys.
I stand corrected in that she was "sleeping around", but he didn't have any proof at the time to make that statement.

    Or did I miss something?

When he posted you ASSUMED that he had nothing else to go on except what was posted. He very well could have seen the same news stories I saw, maybe even more and newer ones since he works in the industry.
