Subwoofer Cables?

Have a PSW111 sub arriving today. Have never owned a Sub before, but thought it might sound good with the Rti A5's I bought about 2 weeks ago. My Onkyo reciever has a Sub pre-out. What type of cables would I need for a quality hookup. I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment so I dont really wanna spend 50-100 dollars for some Monster cables. Can anyone recommend any cables or should I just wait till I get paid and get the expensive ones? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Monoprice is by far the most inexpensive and is a pretty decent cable. My psw111 sounded just fine with it when I had one.

If you do wanna spend like 25 or so these guys have mentioned bluejeans cable and also on MIT cables discount page they have one of their lower end sub cables for 24 or 25 bucks which is a nice cable for a good price.

I just bought the PSW125 sub today for 299.00 cnd and am very pleased. I bought it here in Canada at Future Shop. I asked the salesman for the cheapest cable, which he informed me was 35.oo cnd. We went to get it and they were out,so he sold me the monster cable, which was priced at $95.00 for the 35.00. That was a score and I'm pleased all the way around.

    I'll second the monoprice suggestion.

Also, if you have a spare composite(yellow) video cable laying around, that will work fine as well. You'd still definitely want to upgrade it though eventually.

If this doesn't make a statement about the disgusting amount of profit built into Monster Cables, I don't know what does. As the owner of a retail business myself, I certainly don't have a problem with someone making a profit (especially myself :D) -- but it does show you what the cables are really worth and that as an educated consumer, there's no reason to spend that kind of money on most cables...
