lotsa time left,i say about $550-$650I thought it was fairly amusing also. The Polk Ogre doesn't always get 'it'

If they do go for opening price it will be a steal. Even at mid 500's is a good price as long as they are in the shape they say they are in.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

They sure are a nice looking speaker ...the wood grain is fantastic...I am 300 miles away.....and would fit in the room I need speakers in....the Amazings I got wont fit the room

Yeah Shadow, That is a nice pair of Carver Amazing Platinum Originals. They looks in great shape too but I think there's a smear on the grille. You need to get an amp that can drive low impedance load (may be down to 2ohms stable) so keep that in mind if you are getting them. But once you listen to it, I am pretty sure you are hooked to how it sounds.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:

I already have the Amazings...they are just too big...the fronts and rears are flawless...all 8 woofers new ( Original honeycomb oem replacements ) ...ribbons great.....1 snag on 1 grill and the edges of both speakers need touched up ( Dummy who moved them caused a few issues on the thin sides ) .
It's just with my 1.2's and 2.3 polks I have no room for them....these thin AL-III carvers would be about the absolute maximum I could go. Had the Amazings sold for 750, then at the last minute he said they were too large...gonna throw em back on locally for 500 soon.
I have Carver Silver seven t mono amps to drive themThe first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club -
hahahaha...Oh Boy! Are you the owner for these Amazings? Are you on the Carver Forum as well? I have no opportunity to own polk 1.2 yet but I always wonder how it sounds compared to the ALS.
Good Luck finding a local buyer for these. If you are close to me, I would love to own another set.
What do I need to tell about the 7Ts and the ALS? hahahaTrying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:
